I wonder if Disk Image could use some compression on the fly to make smaller disk images.

And also the ability to run a script/command before and other after the disk image has been made, for example would be nice to run sdelete from Microsoft Windows Sysinternals Group with -c switch to fill with zeros all the empty space before the image begins, making the image compression even more effective!

SDelete can be found at http://technet.microsoft.com/pt-br/sysinternals/bb897443.aspx

Cheers!!

That's a good idea for those larger TB drives when only have smaller drive to save the image to.

Together with this idea http://forums.roadkil.net/forums.php?ID=1646 so user can open and extract without needing to first buy larger drive to recover files. This said because the .img compressed would not be able to other softwares to open them.

Also as long as compression is an option. So can do image without compression when need with smaller drives.

You can do it in cmd with commands like "COMPACT" and "COMPRESS". You can later compile the cmd files to .exe . Twitter me @techguyknows , if problem arises.
